At The Nexus Agency, web design is our bread and butter. We have created countless unique, creative and functional websites in our time.
For this post we thought we would give you a sneak peek at our winning formula when it comes to creating the perfect website. Before we even begin to think about the design, look or feel of a website, we will invite you in for a free consultation where we will talk over what you want and, most importantly, the purpose of your website.
Step 1 – The Wireframe
A wireframe is basically a blueprint of your website. It details the layout of the website, showing what content will go where. Our Senior Graphic Designer, Linda will send you the wireframe and make sure you are happy with it before she begins the design process. This means you can make little tweaks to make sure you’re happy with the layout and navigation of your new website.
We’ve shown a wireframe example below…
Step 2 – The Design
This is the fun part! Once you’ve signed off your wireframe, our design team will start to build the look and feel of your website. Don’t be afraid to tell us if there are areas you’d like to change, remove or add to. We’re here to create the website of your dreams and we will do all we can to make sure we achieve that.
Step 3 – The Building
This is where our Web Design Ninjas step in to bring the designs to life. Using sliders, columns and fancy features to make your website pop, the web team will strive to create a unique website that caters to your every demand.
Step 4 – The Content
The content is the very core of your website. The images, the copy and the animations tell visitors what your business is all about. Here, our copywriters and marketing assistants, will write the words that back up the images, delivering your message the best way they knows how… through eye catching statements and thought provoking vocabulary.
Step 5 – The Functionality Test
Now that we’ve planned, designed, built and filled your website full of content to show off your brand it’s time to make sure it all functions the way it should. There is nothing more frustrating than visiting a website that has broken links or buttons that don’t do anything. So we make sure to test your website on a host of browsers, as well as testing its mobile capabilities.
Step 6 – The Launch!
Once your website has passed all our tests and any tweaks have been made to suit your wants and needs, it’s time for the big launch! We will show off your new website on our Facebook and Twitter and the URL will be live for you to send to all your eager friends and potential customers!
